Description
Model refurbishment of a laboratory building to improve the energy efficiency of the building fabric
The energy consumption of the building was to be reduced by 50 to 60 percent, the heating requirement even to a 20th of the previous value. During the refurbishment, the thermal insulation of the façade and the roof was improved. In addition, windows were installed that let extremely little heat through. But the greatest contribution to energy savings is made by the ventilation technology used in the building. Clina capillary tube mats in the ceilings and walls cool individual selected laboratories particularly efficiently since many devices and lamps produce heat there.
