Description
The St. Adrianus Church in Esbeek was closed as a church in 2013. It was important for Esbeek that the complex was given a social function again. The restoration of the national monument has turned into a SWA; a shared accommodation which houses a primary school, a childcare centre and a kindergarten. As part of the restoration, a low-temperature heating system based on Clina capillary tube mats has been installed in this complex, with a subsidy from the European project DEMI MORE under the Interreg Vlaanderen-Nederland (EU), which focuses on energy efficiency in the field of historical heritage. In future, children will enjoy a pleasant indoor climate thanks to a high level of radiant heat.
